Requirements

To get started with you Rugged SOM, you’ll need the following

• Compatible BotBlox board
  • SwitchBlox Rugged Rev F and onwards.
  • Power cable (e.g. 4 way PicoBlade, 4 way PicoClasp depending on board revision - check on relevant product page on botblox.io)
• Bench top power supply
• Boot media (e.g. a microSD card with ample storage and speed, minimum 1Gb)
• USB to microSD card reader
• USB-OTG breakout board
  • Only required if flashing and using eMMC variant.

The software is headless and accessible through a serial port. You don’t need any additional peripherals, however, you’ll need the following additional resources.

• Serial cable (e.g. 4 way PicoBlade, 4 way PicoClasp depending on board revision - check on the relevant product page on botblox.io)
• USB to RS485 converter (if using RS485 console)
• USB to UART converter (if using UART console)
