Rugged SOM + SwitchBlox Rugged work as a fully managed layer 2 managed switch. The CLI console is only available through UART. You will not be able to ‘ping’ the switch through ethernet itself to control it.

Introduction to BloxOs

BloxOs is a free Linux distro built with the Yocto Project is the provided operating system for normal use on BotBlox boards. BloxOs comes with packages preinstalled to make turning your BotBlox board into a managed switch even easier.
