Default Network

By default, there are 5 switch ports. 4 ports (ports 1 - 4 as labelled on SwitchBlox Rugged) are bridged into a single LAN (VLAN unaware). Port 5 is set as a WAN port, which can be connected to your upstream modem or second switch/router for inter-network routing.

Bridge br-lan:

Member(s): Port 1, 2, 3, 4 IP address range: 192.168.2.1/24

Gateway wan:

Member(s): Port 5

Using Ethernet to open web interface LuCI

  1. Connect a host machine to one of the LAN ports (Default Network).
  2. Ensure that the host machine’s network interface is part of the same subnet as the bridge. (Default Network)
  3. You should see the port activity LED blink.
  4. You should be able to ping bridge interface
ping 192.168.2.1
  1. Go to your web browser and search http://192.168.2.1 . You’ll be presented with a redirect to the LuCI login screen.
  2. Login with username root and no password.

  1. You may now use LuCI to configure the router. You can to the OpenWRT wiki or forum for specific guidance.
